Raven haired, six companions and one striking constant

Danielle lives in South Kensington and builds an evening around whatever classic Ciné Lumière is screening, with supper and a long conversation to follow. Karolina looks at buildings the way a musician reads a score, and her plan is a recital at Cadogan Hall or, in summer, the canopied theatre of Opera Holland Park. Both are at their best with guests who like to discuss what they have just seen.

Angelika has a tennis player's quickness and a taste for late jazz, and she will already know which tables at the 606 Club on Lots Road hear the bass properly. Roxi boxes, surfs and asks better questions than most interviewers; her Earls Court evening passes through the Troubadour, a long-standing music room where a band can be heard and so can you.

Milena is direct to the point of being useful, lives a few minutes from the museums and likes to dine at Ognisko, just off Exhibition Road. Violetta, at 178 cm the tallest woman in the collection, is silent among bookshelves and quick at dinner, where Launceston Place is her usual choice. Neither minds being disagreed with. Both rather prefer it.

For a formal dinner or a long evening that runs on into an overnight, Karolina, Violetta and Danielle wear a dress code and a slow pace with the least effort. For a livelier night with music in it, Angelika and Roxi are the obvious names. Milena suits a guest who wants the evening planned decisively and is content to be told where to eat.

Two of the six, Danielle and Milena, live in South Kensington itself, which makes a same-evening booking near the museums or around Gloucester Road the easiest thing the desk arranges. Angelika and Karolina come from Mayfair and Covent Garden, Roxi from Pimlico and Violetta from Belgravia, none of them a long ride away. Whichever name you choose, a journey within Zones 1 and 2 adds nothing, so distance affects only the arrival time, never the fee.

Angelika, Karolina, Milena and Violetta, none shorter than 172 cm, also hang among the statuesque companions. Danielle, Milena and Roxi appear in the curvaceous grouping, Karolina and Violetta with the slender. Angelika and Roxi belong to the early twenties band, Violetta to thirties and beyond, and the other three to late twenties.

The six share the collection's single ladder, which starts at £250 an hour and reaches £1,800 for a ten hour overnight. A standard hotel booking is held once 25 percent of the fee has been sent ahead by bank transfer. For an overnight, an event or a trip the deposit rises to half, and the share set aside for her journey is not refundable. Message the desk with a name and an hour, and everything else follows from that.
